For me, truth is empowering!

After years of learning from gifted professors and growing alongside amazing women, I want to share my research with more women than I can usually reach when speaking in one room. By integrating the wisdom of philosophy, biology, and theology, my job is to educate others on the dignity and gift of women in this world.

What started as a desire to help women understand the greatness of their "everyday" has developed into a mission to equip women (and the men who love them) with the knowledge about how they are made: by love, for love, and in love. The deepest of freedom can only be found by remaining faithful to who we are in reality. I hope my work can bless you as you embrace more fully the gift of your life as it is now.

For over 15 years, I have spoken to women of all ages about the role of hormones for overall health, our changing bodies, and the scientific knowledge we all deserve to have. 

Hello there! I am Dr. Sarah Denny Lorio, a bioethicist that focuses in women's health and integrated sex education.

If I have learned anything throughout the last almost 20 years, it's that so many women still do not know the basics of how our bodies actually work. In turn, these same women are unsure of how best to share this information with their little ones. They want to have these conversations; they just don't know how. 

That's where I come in.

My passion has been to share this information with women (and men!), but I have seen the need for resources that help you long after I put the microphone down. 

I designed this mini-course for anyone—parents, grandparents, aunts, friends, teachers, older siblings—who want to better understand the basics of what science has to tell us about little girls and their changing bodies.

Part 1 exists as the first of a three-part series. It focuses in particular on girls ages 3 - 10, but it could be helpful for parents of girls up to age 12.

I consider it an honor to be with you on this journey.

  • While this course is primarily designed for mothers of growing little girls (ages 3 - 12) who want to have meaningful and effective conversations with their daughters about their bodies, anyone who plays a significant role in a young girl's life can benefit from this course: fathers, grandparents, or any other adult helping to raise the young women in their lives.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • The Gift of Her Body: Part 2 is designed for parents of girls ages 10 - 16.

    The Gift of Her Body: Part 3 is designed for parents of girls ages 14 - 18.
